I’ve always been vocal in my old music blog how deeply respected Bon Iver is. From his album For Emma, Forever Ago his collaborations with other artists, and now this. His album is finally complete in all it’s magnificence.
If you loved his song Re:Stacks, which still remains to be my favorite song from Bon Iver, then you’d fall for this one. Uniquely titled Beth/Rest, the song is flawless in its attempt to capture emotions. I guess recording the album in the middle of the woods helped him get all his focus on. Whatever his method is, it surely is effective. The song is introspective and I wonder how this will mesh with the rest of the album. Anyhow, this bearded man’s talent is definitely not a one time deal.
Below is an unofficial video by Matt Wells set in the scene of traumatic children’s entertainment. This video made me tear up, which doesn’t make sense really cause not 1 film from the whole list featured in the video was I able to watch. Now THAT is how effective Bon Iver is.
