I’m serious when I talk about women empowerment. My favorite female fictional characters.

She was an exquisite painter.

Excited to watch this episode!

I really need to see this Diane woman.

This month’s films and tv shows.

I have been extremely productive, haven’t I? These were really top notch, I found it hard to tear my eyes away from the tv and do my share of chores because these were so good (especially Funny Face, my favorite Audrey Hepburn film to date).

Any new/old films and TV shows to suggest?

“oh, there are pictures.. I keep them where I need the most cheering up.”

For those who don’t know the story behind this:

Before Maggie was born, Homer Simpson worked at the Nuclear Plant because he needed the money to pay for all the debt. Once Homer Simpson finally payed the debt, he quit his job to work at his dream job at the bowling alley. When Homer Simpson found out that Marge was pregnant with Maggie, he became depressed that he had to quit his job at the bowling alley because the salary couldn’t support them. When Homer Simpson begged Mr. Burns for his old life back, he put a plaque that reads “Don’t Forget: You’re Here Forever.” When Maggie was born, Homer instantly fell in love with her. When Lisa asked Homer where did all Maggie’s baby pictures went, Homer explains that he keeps it where he needs it the most.

What I’m Loving Now: The Lizzie Bennett Diaries

Hey there guys. I’m posting this in hopes of upping the awesomeness quotient of your following days.

Introducing… THE LIZZIE BENNETT DIARIES.

(above: Ashley Clements as Lizzie Bennett)

It’s an online modernization of our well loved Jane Austen novel, Pride & Prejudice told vlog-style by none other than Hank Green (you know, John Green’s brother?) and Bernie Su. Yes, yes, I know there are tons of interpretations of P&P over the last century but this fresh take of Lizze Bennett and the rest of the characters is plain amusing and also, makes sense in a way, and I’m sure your day/s (depending how hooked you are on this web series) will be filled with pleasure. The acting is so uncanny and fun, and you will find yourself hating some characters and rooting for some (Lydia was such a surprise, just wow).

Lydia played by Mary Kate Wiles doing her trademark adorbs with the displeased Lizzie looking warily.

There are so many fun elements like the costume theatre that makes the  storytelling better, albeit biased with Lizzie’s point of view. And of course,  you will get your fill of shrill-inducing shrieks from Mr. Darcy and Bing Lee (smart use!). I’m gonna stop yapping and let you be the judge of it all.

Here’s the first episode (My Name is Lizzie Bennett) with the rest of the playlist beside to continue your watching. FIind the Lizzie Bennett Diaries on these other platforms: website - tumblr - youtube

I’m a fan of everything here! Seriously. And it’s on a chronological order. FRIENDS had to be way up along One Tree Hill though.

My people.

Now watching Freaks and Geeks for the first time! I love 90s tv shows. There’s a sentimentality to them I wish I my highschool years had. I mean, my high school was generally really great, but I guess I could do with more sleuthing!
Also: Young James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel and Busy Philipps!

I think so many people that watch this don’t realize that Lena Duhnam is making fun of our generation. Smart girls making horrible decisions, awkward sexual experiences, and being overly emotional as well as awkwardly self confident. This is the generation of women that are 20-somethings. Not just in New York, but in suburbs, and over seas.
We either know women like this, are women like this, or don’t want to admit either. Lena is an extremely intelligent woman, who is ready to bare it all. Literally.
Half naked table tennis… good lord.

Inspired by this.

Then I came here… and I see you and you’ve got this fruit in the bowl and the fridge with the stuff. The robe, and you’re touching me the way that… I realize I’m not different. I want what everyone wants. I want what they all want. I want all the things. I just want to be happy.

I haven’t seen this episode yet but I’m loving it already.

My life is basically screwed now that I’m planning to finish Season 7 and watch season 8.
